Kaleidoscope effects in collectible art

Designs made from a photograph have kaleidoscope effects. Your friends and family will never know what they’re made from!

These particular designs are made by taking a photo or other image, segmenting it* and repeating the segments in a pattern. If the image is split and repeated enough, it’s impossible to tell what the image actually was. Only the person who owns the photo and the Byala designer will know - and he’ll never tell.

Some finished designs might look like they came from outrageous photos - and who knows, they might have! They might be of pictures of things as innocuous as a human nose, however. The fun is in keeping people guessing.

Choose from the designs here, priced at 99¢ a download, or send us your own photo and we’ll turn it into a kaleidoscope style design for you for $5.00. They make very inexpensive and unique gifts. These images can be framed prints, or turned into a variety of arts and crafts.

*No photographs are harmed during the creation of these designs. The Association for Safety in Shooting Electronic Telemetry (ASSET) Protection Board ensures the security and fair treatment of all images used.

A simple way to decoupage a design onto another object: water down some glue just a bit, brush some onto the object where you want the design to be, put the cut-out design onto it, then “paint” the glue over the entire design, smoothing out any bubbles. Allow the glue to dry. Finish with a coat of clear varnish or clear coat spray paint.
